So its all happening....
The welsh language TV is in turmoil...so its prog all the way for the moment....
I have a long shopping list of things I want to do....
Magenta SIX.....
Its written ( well musically it has a shape)....
I wrote a load of it last year and put it on the shelf whilst finishing up Chameleon.
NOw going back to it...I thought I had it all in the bag, and found that it needed a lot of work to get it in a shape that was ready to committee to recording drums.
The two main problems were that.
1.It was all too long....It run at 70mins....and that is too long for a prog CD...Ive finally battled to get it down to about 58mins.....still a little long I think........so more quality control to be had.
2.The other problem was getting a good opening track...Seven has the ultimate opening track with Gluttony.So Ive been working on a opening song for teh last 2 weeks, and just not getting it right.I usually work up the 1st 5 mins and then just bin it all.....BUT...hopefully lady prog has shinned on me and given me a great riff..a sort of metal tubular bells riff ( I know !!).
So I think I know have a structure to the album....Magenta six, six songs.....and called "........"
I have also got a concept for the album.Me and Steve sat down and bashed it out....its cool and will make for a great cover ( which Ive also started the wheels in motion)....
